In the summer of 2008, dedicated faculty -- Dr. John Mortensen, Dr. John Nieto, Dr. Peter Kwasniewski, and Mr. Marco Emerson -- taught nearly the entire Prima Pars of the Summa theologiae to a small but eager group of students that included two Carmelite monks from Wyoming.  It was our first Summer Program and an auspicious beginning to the enterprise that has grown into The Aquinas Institute for the Study of Sacred Doctrine.
